When all media and government prognosticators were sounding the alarm of imminent Iranian retaliation a month or two ago, did the Israeli people show a real concern about possible damage the Iranians might do?
Is it now assumed that the Iranian threats were just empty words? Does the IDF recognize that Lebanon is a side show and the battle comes when Iran enters the fray?
I just noticed that the only U.S. carrier in the area would have to support Israel from the Gulf of Oman. To get closer the carrier would have to transit the Strait of Hormuz or the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
Is there any concern about what defensive and offensive weapon systems (and the techs to operate) the Russians are trading to Iran? Is there any thought of the linkage every Russian speaks of between the U.S. supplying its highest tech offensive missiles to Ukraine and Russia doing likewise with Iran and the Houthis?
One hypersonic missile launched by the Russian “volunteers” in Yemen effectively shuts down the Persian Gulf and Red Sea to all maritime traffic. How many hypersonics or even Iskanders to disable the U.S. air bases that would support Israel in the event of a massive Iranian attack?
When are you rotating out of there?
