Think about it, Trump should have been the first person to call for two debates, flip a coin on who goes first
One debate should allow the Democrat to choose the time, place, format and moderators
The second debate should be the Republicans get to the time, place, format and moderators
The about the current situation, Trump had the deck stacked against him and next week Kamala Harris had to debate with Mark Levin or some other hard nosed Conservative grilling and fact checking her, she would melt down
Of course the Democrats would never agree to such a deal so it would likely end the debates which are basically worthless to begin with

Never happen. The rats want to be in full control. To allow Republicans to set up a debate, well, just plain never happen. Your suggestion is an alternate reality.
Trump did what’s best for Trump. He knew the ABC debate was rigged, it’s been clearly shown it was rigged and the next one will be rigged. How the debates are staged is beyond his control. It’s just common sense to walk away from anything crooked that hurts you.
Another debate might be acceptable only if Trump got a fair shake.
