(CNN) An alleged multistate human trafficking ring forcing immigrant women into prostitution. The mysterious killing of a former police officer in South Florida. Attacks against police officers in New York. The arrest of a drug dealer in Chicago.
Local and federal officials say these apparently unrelated crimes have a common denominator: Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal gang that originated in a Venezuela prison and has slowly made its way south and north in recent years. They say it’s now operating in the United States. The scale of its operations is unknown, but crimes attributed to alleged members of the gang have worried elected officials and some Republican members of Congress have asked the Biden administration “to formally designate the vicious Tren de Aragua as a Transnational Criminal Organization.”
For several years, the criminal group has terrorized South American countries, including Venezuela, its country of origin, as well as Bolivia, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Retired general Óscar Naranjo, a former vice president of Colombia and chief of the Colombian National Police, told CNN Tren de Aragua is “the most disruptive criminal organization operating nowadays in Latin America, a true challenge for the region.”
The group’s leadership, according to the report, operated out of the notorious Tocorón prison, which they controlled. When Venezuelan officials raided it last September, they found a swimming pool and several restaurants inside the prison walls, in addition to weapons seized from inmates, including automatic rifles, machine guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Message: Armed Tren de Aragua (TDa) gang members, illegal immigrants from Venezuela, pounded on apartment doors in Aurora, Colorado, bullied residents and forced to turnover rent money to the armed gang. Some of the people living in the apartments were forced to leave by the gang members. However, Democrat politicians and Denver mainstream media played down the issue as if it were nothing. They also demonized Republicans.
This problem may spread to communities across our nation because Democrat politicians have opened our southern border to criminal illegal aliens — many have been flown in — and they’re going to set up residences and headquarters in many places, endangering American families.
Democrats are confusing and gaslighting the public about this atrocity.
The new MS-13...hmmm...maybe they’ll form a cooperative given the fertile green pastures for crime in the U.S., especially in blue cities and states that welcome illegal immigrants and allows criminals to rotate in and out of jails with little or no prosecution. Along with the Mexican cartels that brought them to the border who are operating drug distribution in over 200 cities in the U.S., what could go wrong?

I’ve been going to Peru once or twice a year since 2018. What we are experiencing these days regarding Venezuelan migrant crime has been daily news happening in Lima, Peru since before Covid. There have been anti-”immigrant (mostly anti-Venezuelan”) protests in Lima.
Not 100% of everybody in Central or South America would wish to live or work in the US. I’m sure there is a good amount who head to other spanish speaking countries to avoid having to learn a new language and a more distinct culture than their own in latin america and Peru is getting more than their share.
That said, globally, the United States is the most popular destinations for migrants coming from everywhere in the world and we must be more serious about the border problem (created by Biden/Harris). America needs Donald Trump
