We got Alito on the SCOTUS and some tax cuts out of the deal, so it wasn’t all bad. But the disastrous Iraq war as well as enabling the post-9/11 power grab by the alphabet agencies make the Bush-Cheney legacy largely a negative one. We voted the way we did because we perceived Gore and Kerry as worse, and they may have been, but I’m with you in feeling no pride in having supported the Bush cabal.

As bad of they were, the alternative was worse, even though it makes you feel unclean now. But that's the power of the Deep State. The get you either way in the end, that's why they hate Trump so much.
