It seems as if he was the former mayor of Minden, not Shreveport.

Definitely. And it (the backstory) will come out sooner or later.
Or It might not. The alleged killer is 10-years old. Don’t know LA law (and it is different being based on the Code Napoleon) but in most states the lad might not even be subject to any punishment based on his age. And in most states any information about a juvenile court matter is sealed.

Yes, this has been big in the Shreveport news. No one could figure out why someone would murder this harmless old black man. He was a former mayor of Minden and highly thought of.

Lord in Heaven! What do you do with a 10 year old murderer?? I always wonder how God sorts out things like this. Obviously, this is not a normal child. It may sound trite, but the Christian movie, “The Shack”, helps me with things like this. God knows all, sees all, knows where we come from and why we do the things we do.
