As Professor Stephen Hicks says in his book "Explaining Postmodernism" and in many podcasts on the subject, after the Soviet Union fell and communism was exposed for the hideous failure of an ideology that it is, most socialists/communists became Postmodernists. Those true believers who still couldn't give up the dream, like Robert Reich and Obama, became fossils and relics.

What we see in America today, particularly in universities, is Postmodernism, not communism.

Postmodernism rejects all objective truths and the civilization on which it rests (Judeo/Christian Civilization) and seeks to deconstruct it. Unfortunately for Postmodernists and the rest of us, that philosophy only deconstructs...it doesn't rebuild or reconstruct because it has no ideas.

In that sense, I would say that Postmodernism is akin to nihilism. It ends up concluding that life is meaningless.

All that we now see in the Woke and LGBTQ movements and BLM and their complaints that we are all systemically racist is just a version of that Postmodern nihilism. They have no ideas except that we all become angry, seething perverts and deconstructionist (i.e., destroyers) like them.

His last name is perfect. I live in a country without free speech and believe free speech should be without limits. Even this concerning rise of anti-Semitism I am not on board for hate crime charges. Jewish groups are clambering for it, and I think they are wrong to do so.
