Well bless your heart, I know you were up all night making those delicious biscuits! I’m going to grab a couple and Go dining car shopping. We are in need of a new one. Anyone need anything?

Goodness that does sound painful! How are you doing the morning after?

I don’t know if I mentioned but I’ve been having Achilles tendon issues, so the orthopedic surgeon gave me this lovely and stylish boot to wear through the holidays. I just don’t have anything to match on the other side. LOL. But I did find out that my snow boots have a similar height sole, so at least I’m not walking all crooked.

Well I felt so great after a week in this boot that I went Christmas shopping yesterday. Just for dinner items though. So I drove to kroger, and then put my big boot on, can’t drive with the thing since it’s my right foot. And had fun walking around the store for a while. It was good to get out. But I overdid it. Got a spiral ham for 99 cents a pound. That’s a pre-Biden price. But it was all the other impulse items that added up.

The person who gave the shots told me she had never had anyone cry before.

I’m doing well. They told me to leave the bandage on as long as possible. I hate bandages. But, I’ll be wearing one through Christmas.

I understand about your lovely and stylish boot. I sprained my ankle before my youngest’s wedding. So, black boot for me. Two months later, I still needed it, however. I had no trouble in it, but without was impossible.

UFO vaccine, you’re the funniest!

Since they no longer get to poison people they are moving into the animal world. From Zoetis, a former subsidiary of Pfizer.

“Librela acts by binding to and blocking a protein in your dog’s body called nerve growth factor (NGF). Once this artificial antibody has bound to NGF, it prevents it from attaching to its receptors on nerve cells and interrupts the transmission of pain signals.

BUT – and it’s a very big but! – NGF has many other functions in many other tissues throughout your dog’s body. It’s not only involved in pain signaling, but it’s very important for the growth, maintenance, and survival of nerve cells in the central and peripheral nervous system.”

So the way this poison attacks dogs and cats is very, from breathing issues to liver and kidney damage, muscle wasting, strokes and seizures, paralysis, it’s just horrible. Cooper started having his hips go out, he would just collapse while standing. And I didn’t notice his other side effects until I started reading about them, his hearing and vision loss could be because of librela. He’s at almost 4 months since his last shot so I think it is mostly out of his system. His hips are doing better but his vision and hearing is still bad. It’s normal for a 14-year-old to have that but it got progressively worse in the last 4 months. But he’s one of the lucky ones, it’s heartbreaking to read about what other pet parents and their dogs have gone through. And the pet parents feel so guilty for giving them the shot, understandably but the most guilt is reserved for the company making it and hiding the test results. Sound familiar?

Extreme pain can do that. When I had my cornea neuropathy, the worst burning pain in the most nerve sensitive part of the body, it was non-stop, I found myself just crying for what I thought was no reason. Extreme pain is hard to live with.

3%. We have tolerated way too much.

Hubby is in Gettysburg right now, went there to work on a power plant. But in the same area is the family Homestead that his ancestors built on when they came here in 1746. It was remodeled and run as a B&B for decades. Now the lady that has it is too old for that. He was hoping she would sell. Instead she wants to hire him to run the b&b. He left his card so hopefully she’ll change her mind.

The unique thing about it is that the Mason-Dixon Line crosses it. Three bedrooms are in Pennsylvania and one bedroom is in maryland. In the upstairs bathroom the shower is in pennsylvania, the toilet in maryland. Property taxes must be interesting to figure out. I suppose he would want to be in the bedroom in the state that had the lower income tax? Or maybe they each take a percentage.

Same here, I’ve only had it a week but I feel so much more comfortable with it on. Stairs were a little tricky at first, and we have two sets of them. I didn’t realize how much I ran up and down them during the day.

Hubby and I bought a little 2001 Chevy Blazer that needed some work, so he worked his magic on it..he just called me to tell me it passed inspection!
YAY!!
It’s in really good condition, but needs a little paint touch up.
Big deal!
As we say up here “Paint and chrome don’t get ya home!”

Jem, that sounds awful! I’m glad they got the cancer, but I’m sad for your poor nose!

Natalie on her way home. She landed in Toronto just after 11:00. Matt picked her up and they’ve stopped for supplies to make appetizers for tonight as they put up the Christmas tree. I will see her in about 20 minutes, as they’re just leaving Ancaster.
