“ANC is a national shrine to the honored dead“

Does anyone anywhere believe that the cemetery would have made a sound if it were Kamala attending? All that lying reverence for our honored war dead would have gone right out the window.

And not to just bag on the army. The Navy, the Marines, the Air Force, and space force have all had senior leaders in open mutiny against Trump when he was commander-in-chief, and they have all advocated for the exact same things. This is not just an army problem.

Bring back the senior enlisted ranks to rebuild the military.
Fire the woke officers.
We as a country will never face any enemy that is woke.

Defending our country is serious business and should be approached in that way. No room for fluff.

Every one of those soldiers are there BECAUSE of a political purpose.

Arlington EXISTS because of a political purpose.

But now we have to pinch our nose shut and follow dictates about how to show respect?
Nonsense.

If a law is wrong, it should be ignored.

We are governed by people who think process is the product; that it doesn’t matter the outcome as long as people submit the right papers, in the right order, to the right people.

Respect is the product.

And that isn’t found in a pile of federal permits.

They all got caught with their pants down. They thought the 13 dead heroes were gone and buried down the memory hole!’ That is why they’re having a freaking cow because Trump made them ALL look like chumps! The optics were devastating for the cackling hyena and her stolen valor VP. And not to mention dementia FJB! And now that Trump is hitting back at those military generals who still have jobs instead of being held accountable or fired are coming out hitting him with full guns a blazing.

By the way the families have the right to invite anyone to help them lay a wreath at the unknown tomb and place flowers at their loved ones at Arlington . Nobody can stop them from having that right. SO F THEM!

The idiot who put out that statement is a jackass. Trump was exulting the medal of honor, and saying how he much preferred the medal of freedom because it’s usually being attached to someone who’s not dead or maimed. The head of the VFW is a jack ass.

From the FoxNews article:
"Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung argued that the staffer who blocked the campaign photographers appeared to be having a 'mental health episode.' He also specified that the campaign was granted approval to bring a photographer."

- - - - - - -

According to federal law:

Taking photographs IS NOT PROHIBITED by statute at Arlington National Cemetery - that cemetery falls under administration and maintenance by the U.S. Army.

Arlington National Cemetery WAS NOT transferred from the Department of the Army to the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1973.

Yet, the Army does lean on 38 USC Ch. 3 Section 2413 (see below) of some V.A. cemetery regulations, regarding "Prohibition on certain demonstrations and disruptions . . ."

And, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs can apparently establish some regulations for Veterans Administration managed National Cemeteries . . . and they do have guidance re filming and photography.

- - - - - - -

38 USC Ch. 3 Department of Veterans Affairs

§307. Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs

There is in the Department an Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, who is appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Under Secretary is the head of the National Cemetery Administration as established in section 2400 of this title and shall perform such functions as may be assigned by the Secretary.

38 USC Ch. 24: National Cemeteries and Memorials

§2400 Establishment of National Cemetery Administration; composition of Administration.

(a) There shall be within the Department a National Cemetery Administration responsible for the interment of deceased servicemembers and veterans. The National Cemetery Administration shall be headed by the Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, who shall perform such functions as may be assigned by the Secretary.

(b) The national cemeteries and other facilities under the control of the National Cemetery Administration shall consist of—

(1) national cemeteries transferred from the Department of the Army to the Veterans' Administration by the National Cemeteries Act of 1973;

(2) cemeteries under the jurisdiction of the Veterans' Administration on the date of enactment of this chapter; and

(3) any other cemetery, memorial, or monument transferred to the Veterans' Administration by the National Cemeteries Act of 1973, or later acquired or developed by the Secretary . . .

§2413. Prohibition on certain demonstrations and disruptions at cemeteries under control of the National Cemetery Administration and at Arlington National Cemetery

- - - - -

USC 32, Subtitle A, Ch. 5, Subch. D, Part 553, Subpart A - Army National Military Cemeteries,

§ 553.33 Visitors rules for Army National Military Cemeteries.

(a) Visiting hours . . .

(b) Destruction or removal of property . . .

(c) Conduct within Army National Military Cemeteries. Army National Military Cemeteries are a national shrine to the honored dead of the Armed Forces, and certain acts and activities, which may be appropriate elsewhere, are not appropriate in Army National Military Cemeteries. All visitors, including persons attending or taking part in memorial services and ceremonies, shall observe proper standards of decorum and decency while in an Army National Military Cemetery. Specifically, no person shall:

(1) Conduct any memorial service or ceremony within an Army National Military Cemetery without the prior approval of the Executive Director.

(2) Engage in demonstrations prohibited by 38 U.S.C. 2413.

(3) Engage in any orations, speeches, or similar conduct to assembled groups of people, unless such actions are part of a memorial service or ceremony authorized by the Executive Director.

(4) Display any placards, banners, flags, or similar devices within an Army National Military Cemetery, unless first approved by the Executive Director for use in an authorized memorial service or ceremony. This rule does not apply to clothing worn by visitors.

(5) Distribute any handbill, pamphlet, leaflet, or other written or printed matter within an Army National Military Cemetery, except a program approved by the Executive Director to be provided to attendees of an authorized memorial service or ceremony.

(6) Bring a dog, cat, or other animal (other than a service animal or military working dog) within an Army National Military Cemetery. This prohibition does not apply to persons living in quarters located on the grounds of the Army National Military Cemeteries.

(7) Use the cemetery grounds for recreational activities (e.g., physical exercise, running, jogging, sports, or picnics).

(8) Ride a bicycle or similar conveyance in an Army National Military Cemetery, except with a proper pass issued by the Executive Director to visit a gravesite or niche. An individual visiting a relative's gravesite or niche may be issued a temporary pass by the Executive Director to proceed directly to and from the gravesite or niche on a bicycle or similar vehicle or conveyance.

(9) Operate a musical instrument, a loudspeaker, or an audio device without a headset within an Army National Military Cemetery.

(10) Drive any motor vehicle within an Army National Military Cemetery in excess of the posted speed limit.

(11) Park any motor vehicle in any area of an Army National Military Cemetery designated as a no-parking area.

(12) Leave any vehicle in the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors' Center parking area or Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery visitors' parking area more than thirty minutes outside of established visiting hours or anywhere else in an Army National Military Cemetery outside of established visiting hours.

(13) Consume or serve alcoholic beverages without prior written permission from the Executive Director.

(14) Possess firearms without prior written permission from the Executive Director. This prohibition does not apply to law enforcement and military personnel in the performance of their official duties. In accordance with locally established policy, military and law enforcement personnel may be required to obtain advance permission from the Executive Director of the Army National Military Cemeteries prior to possessing firearms on the property of an Army National Military Cemetery.

(15) Deposit or throw litter or trash on the grounds of the Army National Military Cemeteries.

(16) Engage in any disrespectful or disorderly conduct within an Army National Military Cemetery.

(d) Vehicular traffic. All visitors, including persons attending or taking part in memorial services and ceremonies, will observe the following rules concerning motor vehicle traffic within Arlington National Cemetery . . .

The head of the VFW is a jack ass.

Agreed. Accordingly, I expect yet another asinine statement on the VGW website regarding the most recent media contrived incident.

The Utah governor who was with Trump just apologized. I don’t understand the hoopla over this. Even if a fight happened, question the perps and take action if needed. This whole thing seems overblown.

If Trump is re-elected the military could turn out to be a real problem.

I mean like, a seize power problem.

“If Trump is re-elected the military could turn out to be a real problem. I mean like, a seize power problem.”

And there are around 10 million deer hunters in America. And countless veterans ... quietly living their lives. The military would lose badly.

Didn’t Hitler have queers running his military at first? Was that prior to the “Night of the Long Knives”?

You’re not supposed to know that, and especially not supposed to point out historical facts!

From what I understand, the overwhelming bulk of Hitler’s inner circle were homosexuals, particularly the SS.

I’m sure there are harsh penalties for taking a picture in a cemetery.(sarcasm)

Cemetery Gate will go nowhere, but it will increase the chances of anti Trump partisans outing themselves on Free Republic.

Winning an election against Harris isn’t a high priority for them......their priority is to finally be proven ‘right’ about Trump, even it means the Biden/Harris shit show continues.
