No, I wouldn't ever lie.

The pollsters might then report something like "Tide turning: Overwhelming majority support Harris," and that could conceivably hurt President Trump's campaign.

Instead, I would flatly refuse to participate - or maybe give some response like, "None of your business!"

That way, the pollsters would have to report something like, "Of that tiny sliver of respondents who were willing to express a preference, and didn't simply walk away in contempt, a slim majority - mostly pink-haired, Lesbian land-whales - favored Harris."

I used to work for a 'survey center' and I know what goes on with the ‘survey’ data

Surveys are written so that no Conservative can possibly answer or self-identify AS a Conservative, without also admitting that he/she also tears babies in half and eats them.

ALL available ‘responses’ are written to put Conservatives in the worst possible light. THAT'S how the results are skewed and why no one should EVER do a survey!
