How do you negotiate with Evil?
It’s been done for thousands of years. The Crusaders and the various Muslim groups, and the Mongol Hordes when they showed up, they had trade agreements, non-aggression pacts, alliances. None of them lasted, but everyone in geopolitics negotiates with evil people when they must, and who the “evil” people is depends whom you ask.
