There’s a defunct crown?! I guess my dad’s relative were not in line for it else they would not have gotten out after the uprising.
> It was in the course of those studies that my grandfather purportedly created an embarrassing scandal with the princess… <
If I’m not mistaken, that caused the War of Austrian Succession. If I were you, I’d start saving up your pennies. Because sooner or later the EU will demand reparations.
Were they caught horsing around?
Doesn’t really matter what you tell them. They’ll check your pedigree against a DNA test anyway.
It’s a Joisy thing.
And I am descended from King MacBeth of Scotland.
Not all of northern NJ is as you put it “Urban Dumps.” We lived in Bergen and Passaic counties before moving to Florida 50& years ago. I assure you Allendale, NJ is by no means an urban dump.
Surfer crime “wave” (pun intended) once again.
In the 60s as this Beach Boys video of the little “Surfer Girl” shows, these women had no beach badges but told officers “we have nothing to hide” if searched.

the only NJ reference I found related to ‘pedigree’ has to do with prescription drugs not in their original dispensing container with identifying info label

You got a lot of people to get out of the way. Maybe a dinner party serving under cooked chicken might move things along.
Well hail to you Thane of Cawdor.
That makes us way distant cousins.

My grandparents came over long before the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. But I met folks who came over after that revolution failed. They were, shall we say, an interesting bunch. And not in a particularly good way.
Disclaimer: I certainly realize that most of the 1956 refugees were good people. They were fleeing tyranny and repression in the hopes of finding freedom. But amongst those good folks were a few scoundrels.
I was a young kid back then. And with my relatives I sometimes attended the local Hungarian club (long gone now). I met some of those 1956 refugees there. Yeah. They scared me a bit.
Master of the World comic from Dell.......
I never saw that but was able to buy the Ace 35 cent paperback of the book with Robur the Conqueror as a bonus.
And the Classic Illustrated comic.
In the movie, Charles Bronson was one of the stars as if anyone else was needed in addition to the great Vincent Price. Notice on the theatre poster Bronson wasn’t mentioned.
No doubt there were those who took advantage of all the chaos to leave and avoid their bad behavior catching up with them. I don’t think my dad’s cousin and family were scoundrels but I was just a child so probably any really juicy scandal was spoken out of ear shot.
Why should they when they can hassle surfers instead, while running out the clock to that sweet, sweet retirement?
From july to the end of september.
Does he need to prove his grandparents were full blooded Aryans in order to get a beach permit?
I admit that I am intolerant of that position.
Serving them something that tastes like almonds.
