Naresh Bhatt, charged last week with a felony count of prohibition against concealment of a dead body after his wife went missing, will be held without bond.
His wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt, 28, went missing on July 31.
The judge in the case found probable cause that Bhatt is a flight risk and a danger to the community, during a bond hearing Monday morning.
During Friday’s arraignment, Prince William County Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Sarah Sami revealed new details about the case against Naresh Bhatt, including evidence of blood found in the main bedroom and shower of the Manassas Park home the couple shared.
On Saturday, community members gathered to honor the missing mother and UVA Health Prince William Medical Center nurse at Signal Hill Park.
Virginis = Virginia
It’s a crime to miss her?
I assume it's a crime to hide a corpse in your house.
Generally, it’s more likely a crime to hit her ...
“Did you miss your wife?”
“Yeah ... but my aim is improving ...”
Smart people know how to navigate the complexities of the English language.
I think it’s interesting how Guns N’ Roses album juxtaposed the song “Patience”, with “I used to love her so I had to kill her”.
Naresh Bhatt,… an old Virginian family obviously. Too many immigrants in America. And in Virginia one in ten people is foreign born.
......if it was my 28 year old daughter that went “missing”, Naresh would soon find out he was better off in jail.
Manassas Park. Beautiful civil war battlefield there. I was there on business 12 years ago and would go to the park after we broke for the day and just walk the trails thru the woods until sundown. The trenches and battle lines soldiers dug are still visible. There’s an Irish pub in town that serves and excellent lamb stew. That and an Amstel Light was a great meal to close the day.
His lack of cooperation with investigators and evidence of blood all over the house certainly suggests foul play.
Manassas, where the battlefield and the charming old town are, is not the same as Manassas Park. There’s not much nice in Manassas Park, but there are a ton of immigrants.
lorena bobbitt land ...
There’s a Seinfeld reference somewhere in the story
In Manassas Park, I'd say it was the other way around.
Probably right. And that stat I read was BEFORE the 20 million Biden flooded in. Probably worse statewide today.
One of the things to do when visiting the Manassas Battlefield Park is to find the old Railway Cut, from where the Southern forces repelled multiple Union attacks. Then, walk out about 50 to 25 yards in front of the cut and you will see traces of rectangular sunken pits about 8 x 20 feet here and there. Some of these pits are in what is now lightly wooded areas, but it was all cleared farmland at the time of the battle. I believe these are what is left of mass graves. It stands to reason that the Confederates who remained in possession of the field would not spend too much time burying the Union dead and would want it done efficiently. Most likely, they would gather the dead together and burry them close to where the bodies were found.
