Tremendous speaker but sadly he faces the Daniel Cameron problem from 2023.
good stuff...
“Tremendous speaker but sadly he faces the Daniel Cameron problem from 2023.”
He sure does. But when I pointed that out about Cameron on here last November, some “expert” (actually, some idiot) insisted that Cameron had actually done great in all of the Whitest counties in Kentucky — which was a complete lie; he underachieved critically pretty much everywhere important.
The main difference between Cameron and Robinson as candidates is that Cameron turned out to be a milquetoast and refused to fight back against Andy Beshear’s campaign of lies and hate which was thoroughly assisted by the liberal media.
OTOH Robinson has always been a fighter, but he is being overwhelmed by slimy Joshie Stein and his media minions. Robinson is down big in the polls and is very likely to stay down (perhaps by not quite so much in the end), though some have tried to desperately to spin that fact away.
Kentucky is normally a very solid “red” state; Robinson doesn’t have that luxury working for him.
Maybe someone who is in NC can give us an update on just HOW dirty Stein’s campaign is — and just how Robinson is (or isn’t) countering it.
I recall that conversation like it was yesterday. I came back and showed what you were claiming was not correct complete with the data and graphics to prove it. You compared presidential election numbers to gubernatorial election numbers...a noncomparison - given you could have claimed other gubernatorial candidates lost for being white against Democrats by comparing the numbers in those counties not only to Trump, but also Bush, McCain, and Romney to other gubernatorial elections' numbers. You cannot compare Presidential election voting patterns to gubernatorial voting patterns especially in a state like Kentucky. You have to compare gubernatorial numbers to gubernatorial numbers. I assume you never came back to the thread to make these kinds of above remarks now...but regardless, you were, and are, incorrect.
The main difference between Cameron and Robinson as candidates is that Cameron turned out to be a milquetoast and refused to fight back against Andy Beshear’s campaign of lies and hate which was thoroughly assisted by the liberal media.
Refused? no...but he did grossly lack the funding compared to Beshear to even attempt to go toe to toe with him in the ad war - both to defend himself and put Beshear on defense...and Beshear had approval ratings at the time of the election in the mid 60s and before Cameron even got into the race...would have been difficult for any candidate to defeat an incumbent, let alone one with that kind popularity. Even so, the result was 53-47. A shift of a mere 3% of the electorate changes the outcome...could at least that small shift have occurred if Cameron had matched Beshear's war chest and had been able to define himself vs. being called a dangerous extremist for several months with no way to defend against it (not to mention combat the good ol' boy image Beshear created for himself)? More than possible...perhaps even likely...to have at least shifted a mere 3% of the vote...but it's all academic now...we can never truly know what "could" have happened.
In addition, both Cameron and Robinson had won multiple previous elections - both primaries and general elections. And everyone knew they were black in all of those elections and they were heavily contested and prominent races. Moreover, Robinson has been running even or even ahead in polling until the media blew up remarks of his that were supposedly appalling and controversial...in their eyes and his polling has at least for now gone south. Everyone already knowing he was black were going to vote for him, and have voted for him multiple times if the past, suddenly just now decided they weren't going to because he was black? And in this case, it is a state Barack Obama carried and Kamala Harris is (supposedly) currently running even in.
All I see is “Private Video - Sign in if you have been granted access”
I was able to watch it yesterday but now it says “private unavailable”
I really don’t understand how Kentucky ended up with a far left governor. Does not compute, no matter who the other candidate was. My only takeaway is that it is not as “red” as some people think, and probably should be considered a toss up state.
It’s on YouTube. Search for Mark Robinson - Faith and Freedom.
How should I Post a URL?
I don’t know what happened. It worked last night. I have nothing to do with it, had just helped the OP by putting in a hyperlink. I suspect that, since it was contrary to MSM and DNC values, YouTube has censored it......
