No her dad is not deceased, he is alive and kicking.

Maybe if the father had alzheimer's, not able to talk for some physical reason, etc., then it could be understood why the media would stay away from the father.

But that isn't the case. As far as I remember, he is comatose and coherent, but as mentioned, wants no part of the Harris campaign (for some reason).

Now imagine all of that, but Harris being a Republican. Oh boy what the headlines would be.
