Drunken mick?
That seems unnecessary.
And refusing to save a life unless payment is made first? Maybe the paramedics can look for a credit card to swipe on an unconscious accident victim before stabilizing them.

Taxpayers are gonna LOVE the extra tax burden, on top of the extra tax burden from the student loan forgiveness! Don’t ya just love politicians who think they have the right to give your money away, and then ask you to make it up with more taxes?

New Jersey is working with the nonprofit Undue Medical Debt, which said in a release it is working with the state to leverage more than $550,000 in American Rescue Plan federal funds. Holy Moly what a sentence! Talk about muddying the waters….bottom line; a non-profit is getting paid with taxpayer funds to obtain settlements on unpaid medical bills using…..taxpayer funds. Ain't Socialism grand?

How much of this is going to Medicaid bills run up by illegals?
Inquiring minds really should be asking...

Murphy stockpiled Fedgov money from Covid and other “reinvestment” BS schemes and uses it for his own piggie bank and political slush fund. This “spontaneous” wiping away medical debt sounds great but the money was not meant for this.

Yup. Anyone who worked to pay their student loans off and sacrificed to the max to pay large hospital bills feels like a schmuck right now.
There will be plenty of resentment for this.
From now on no one will pay, the system will collapse, and say hello to single payer ‘health’ care.
To: ChicagoConservative27
can’t ‘they’ just enslave doctors and force them to provide free car for all? Doctors are greedy and rich.

The founders had a plan to prevent that: the election of Senators by their state legislatures. On the presumption that state legislators would act in the interests of their state and would put forth men of ability and character who would not be beholden to the whims of a popular vote.
Yeah, we ruined that a century back. And here we are.

So Government is “forgiving” Medical Debt to private providers? (isn’t that just plain old “theft” of services?)
Why not forgive public Tax Debts owed to Public Government Thieves?
Or all debts to all people?
Or all criminal charges (a Public Debt) for all criminals?

Interesting “common core” math there - “leverage $550,000 of American Rescue Plan” funding... against $100,000.000 in debt?
Seriously - there is no such thing as “cancelling” these debts. It just means someone else will bear that burden.
