This is a conflict between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The one is governed from Moscow, the other from Kiev.
Russia isn’t really a Christian nation, it merely has a government ceremonial church with formal cultural ceremonies like marriages and suppresses actual practicing and believing Christians who don’t belong to it.

Might as well burn the banned churches down like Hitler did the synagogues. After all, Zelensky has banned elections, banned men between the ages of 18 to 60 from leaving the country, and expanded the government’s regulation of all media and journalists in Ukraine. Not to mention his term of office ended on May 20th, 2024. How much more Hitler-esque can you get?
