GO VOTE!
Alaska is one of the states that use Rank Choice Vote tallying, a system of vote counting that more often than not applies your vote to a candidate that you would not have voted for.
Not sure if RCV is used in primaries ...
My ballot is boring as h*ll. So many of the races are uncontested - Florida doesn’t list uncontested races - that I’ll only be voting for Scott and Gaetz.
Don’t be short-sighted. Be sure you elect, if it’s an option for your jurisdiction, a prosecutor that’s not a soros-backed faker in your primary.
If Alaska has the insane RVC...IT IS TOTALLY USELESS.
RVC IS A CONTRIVED VOTING METHOD TO ...ENSURE THAT THE LEAST QUALIFIED IS THE WINNERR..
HOW INGENIOUS, HOW INSIDUOUS, CORRUPT AND HOW.....
WE DECENT NORMAL ORDINIRAY AMERICANS ARE BEING ...DUPED, SAVAGED, AND LED TO THE WONDERFUL KARL MARX WAY OF LIFE.
A MISERABLE LIFE AT THAT.
It’s the GOP primary, and like I said, uncontested races are simply not on the ballot. So I was left with the Senate and House races. I voted for Gaetz, since his primary opponent Dimmock is a Kevin McCarthy tool. I also voted for Scott.
When we get to the general, the prosecutor race is likely to be contested, so I will get a chance to vote against the Soros tool.
I don’t keep up with Wyoming politics too much (I’m just glad Cheney is gone), but I saw this article and laughed at a couple of paragraphs:
“McCann Stuns Stith in Upset Primary Race in Sweetwater County”
“Freedom Caucus contender Darin McCann, R-Rock Springs, beat State House District 48 Rep. Clark Stith in a stunning upset in the Republican primary race in Sweetwater County that turned heated over accusations of “crossover voting.”
The loss for Stith, R- Rock Springs, the speaker pro tempore, was tough to swallow for the legislator who was seeking a full fourth term in office.”
[snip]
“Voters in my district want change and change they’ll get,” Stith added. “They will get anti-government change. I expect less support for the University of Wyoming, less support for public schools and probably less support for social programs.”
McCann aligns with the far right of the Republican Party and supports issues like term limits. He has publicly criticized Stith for not supporting Second Amendment rights enough.”
Stith immediately condemns the winner instead of congratulating him. Notice that anyone for less government is “far-right”. It appears that Stith was a (D) in (R) clothing so it looks like a case of “good riddance”. (But as I said, I know nothing of Wyoming’s local politics).
And another race in Wyoming:
“Mike Schmid Beats Cat Urbigkit For Influential Sublette County Seat”
“Mike Schmid, a La Barge oilman aligned with the Freedom Caucus, won the Republican primary for House District 20 in Sublette County, a seat that has held significant power the last few years.
Cat Urbigkit, a Boulder rancher and writer, lost, garnering 1,000 votes to Schmid’s 1,585 in the Sublette County primary race.”
Thanks for the articles. I’m in MA so can’t stay up to watch election results from the west.
Good to see a Cheney supporter lose. And OF COURSE a Cheney supporter is Speaker Pro Tempore. Good riddance!
