I remember the ‘67 riots in Detroit, we climbed a huge tree in the back yard and we could smoke rising in Detroit some 30 miles away on one day the weather was clear. Dozens were killed, and finally the National Guard was called in, tanks and everything and the riots were finally quelled. As a new kid from Iowa it was certainly tragic.
And the next summer was Chicago, what a mess that was too but a completely different cause. This one starting tomorrow is going to be one for the history books. Thousands of antifa and hamas boot polishers vs. the armed gang killers and throw in countless illegals leaves one speechless.
Next thing you know they’ll be asking for ID.
None of these people will face any serious jail time no matter what they do, similar to ANTIFA in Portland.
Why would you wish injury on people you don't even know, who have dedicated their lives to protecting the innocent?

If I were a white cop in Chicago, I would be tempted to retire. All they need is one George Floyd.
And let’s remember- on a normal day, Chicago is an angry, violent town, with demoralized cops. I pray for innocents getting caught up in the mess that’s coming.

I’m sure that the democrat leadership thinks this is all very deep, and presenting themselves as victims like they did with the fence around the Capitol after January 6th, 2021 is their standard fallback position.
Nothing like breaking news interviews from the DNC in Chicago with some weepy victims to ramp up the viewership numbers and validate the presence of the walls.
This is NOT going to be like 1968, when the young left wing hippies were trying to wrest control of the Democrat Party from the old party bosses.
Remember, it was the Southern Democrats who were responsible for the KKK, the Jim Crow laws and all the racial tension we watched on the nightly news with Walter Cronkite.
The War in Viet Nam was the democrat’s war, from beginning to end, despite their efforts to blame Nixon.
The hippies were protesting LBJ, not republicans.

The Chicago debacle is astroturf from start to finish, and serves the imagery the democrats want to present, not stop.
Like everything else these anti American turds do, it’s all smoke and mirrors, with a big helping of bait and switch to mollify the unsteady, and uninitiated.

I respect the Thin Blue Line more than most. But when I see cops who stand by and let Antifa/BLM types riot at will - well I do not consider them innocent.
Now - If they bring in water cannons, tear gas, dogs, bean bag shooters and other non deadly weapons - then I will pray for their safety.
But no one I know of expects Chicago cops to do anything but allow riots and violence.
We Americans are in a Civil War. Cops at the front line must choose correctly. If they don’t - then I don’t care what happens to them.

And only 250 National Guard.
All we need now is a major Israeli offensive, or a strike by Iran.

The real question is, will the police and Military MP's be carrying batons and will they be allowed to use them on the rioters?

When Pritzker’s guard fails will Walz send in his faster than he did when his city was burning. MN, WI and KY border IL and have Rat Governors so could reinforce it directly. If MI wanted to help they’d have to go via IN or WI and if I were running IN instead of its RINOs I’d make Whitmer go via it UP and traverse WI.
Very odd that you'd jump to the conclusion that Terror Supporters would be "innocent people".
Most people would identify them as our fellow, law-abiding citizens.
You may be surprised to learn this, but there are PLENTY of ordinary, Patriotic, law-abiding, innocent people who have lived for decades, or generations, in what suddenly may become "no go zones". They're every much as entitled to police protection as your family and neighbors.
