I don’t mind them removing statues of insurrectionists, but they didn’t need to remove the obelisk. And John Lewis is almost perfect for the present political climate of Georgia. It’s just a few statues until Lenin goes there.

I hope they didn’t destroy the statues, as they did to the magnificent statue of Lee in Virginia.

‘“I’ll replace the confederate statue with one of the Founding Fathers like Washington or Jefferson.”

Why? Washington and Jefferson were for secession; well, Lincoln, in Congress, said he was for secession too.’

Washington may has said he supported secession during the debates on the Constitution, but he personally led troops into New England to put down the Whisky Rebellion and arrest its leaders. Jefferson led the push for passage of the Alien and Sedition Act, which made criticism of the national government a criminal act punishable with prison.

“Robert E Lee resigned his commission to the Union to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has more honor in his smallest toenail that any fool blithely calling him a traitor - using the distortions of time and propaganda to cower behind - has in the entirety of their ignorant, benighted being. It’s a shame he isn’t here to duel those besmirching his legacy.”

United States Constitution, Article 3, Section 3 -

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.”

The People rest.

Bullshit! We are not going to fight. The time to fight was when the election was stolen in 2020.

If Vixtor Orban, President of Hungary, were to lead a movement to extricate Hungary from the E.U. would you consider him a traitor?

I was referring to the colonies seceding from Britain; both supported that. The Declaration of Independence provides the philosophical and political armature.

General Lee has never been found guilty of treason; no two Witnesses. No Confession in open Court. Not even a trial.
