Groceries have some of the slimmest profit margins by retailers. They make up for this in volume.
Telling grocers what they HAVE to charge will kill many of them, especially the small ones.

It’s what grocery stores do when forced to pay mandated minimum wages, twice as much for fuel to keep the shelves stocked, are prohibited from stopping shoplifters, etc.
I thought they said grocery prices have only gone up 3%.
Problem with her nut brain thinking is the farmer has to pay out the nose for workers’ wages so the price has already skyrocketed. Is she going to put wages back down at pre-covid?

The alleged extra 2% in prices from profits is apparently gouging. The extra 30% in inflation is not gouging.
