healthcare is a human right and requiring nation status will prevent those needing help to go without...

Good!
And, how about we deport, immediately, pending that info?
I hear Meheeco has wonderful healthcare 😏
This way, we can all pay for something that no one should be paying for.
Make them pay or send the bill to their home country or deduct from any aid their home country gets ,LOL
Once again copying DeSantis’ great policies.
The EMTALA Act of 1986 orders ERs to give health care even to illegals and even if they can’t pay. It’s meant for emergencies but illegals use it for everything. That’s how they get free health care and bankrupt our hospitals.
This shouldn’t even be an issue
I suppose it is because it will show the costs are absolutely enormous
Too late. Biden Harris are granting fast track citizenship to the millions of invaders.
When Abbott finally got with it, he really got with it.
“”so that the state of Texas could then bill the federal government.””
I think that was “tried” years ago without any success or perhaps it was just a PLAN that never went anywhere. Don’t recall exact details but it could have been CA before we moved from that state in 2006...
A little late wouldn’t you say? Question them in English. If no comprende the issue is settled.
And, so?
Patch up the illegals sufficiently to turn them over to ICE for immediate deportation.
Much like Shovel Ready Jobs, here are Deport Ready Illegals.
“”If no comprende the issue is settled.””
That wouldn’t work because they all say that when they are responding to someone speaking to them in English...they understand what has been said...it’s a game with them.
Maybe this will help provide quantitative data to prove damages.
That’s right.
I wouldn’t be surprised if many people claim they are illegal when they are not so they don’t have to have insurance, give an address or social security number or get billed.
There isn’t really anyone ‘hiding in the shadows’ it is a marketing ploy.
I would bet that if Texas were to start sending bills to the country the patient belongs to, and IF our fed gov were to back it up.
We’d see a LOT less illegals from those countries.
I’d suggest adding in the cost of education.
That must have hurt the Tribune to print.
