Your assertion is absurd. If most cops were like this one, we’d hear scores of such reports every week, not just an occasional few across a year. People who “back the blue” aren’t backing the bad apples, just the decent LEOs who go out every day, deal with the dregs of society and hope they can go home to their families.

Nowhere did I say that “most cops are like this”. I said that some cops misbehave, and the so-called “GOOD cops” tend to look the other way when this happens. Cops raid the wrong home causing thousands of dollars damage, investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing ALL THE TIME. There ARE scores of articles about this every year.
The article posted is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to police behaviour. Count yourself lucky you haven’t experienced it, because this happens a LOT more than you realize.
There are some excellent police officers out there that deserve our respect and gratitude, but they are becoming rarer by the day, due to the schism between the citizenry and the police themselves.
Low hiring standards, an “Us versus Them” attitude, the loss of the patrol officer are all contributing factors. So is the bouncing from one department to another of known ill-behaved officers. A cop can be fired by one county and hired by the one next door to continue harassing and collecting from the public.
I have a number of associates that were cops, both military and civilian, and many of them are of the same opinion toward the problems facing police and citizens today.
Having a rage fit and calling me names for pointing this out is not helping the situation in any way.
