It’s what the voters of Colorado want, so it’s what they get.

If that were my daughter there’d be no lawsuits, only broken teachers, administrators, and counselors.

The parents’ mistake was living in Denver, which has become Colorado’s answer to Commiefornia’s San Francisco.

Not too long ago, schools would refuse to give an aspirin to children.
Not too long ago, homosexuals were just asking for tolerance and to be left alone to be who they were.

Not the gays have taken over the schools and they are arranging for children to be surgically mutilated. Don’t be an intolerant homophobe! Embrace the brave new world!

“Not” should be “Now”

It’s what the voters of Colorado want, so it’s what they get.

I don't usually answer this (much too frequent) type of comment, but I'll make an exception in this case.

Did this girl's parents "vote for this"? Did every single American in Colorado "vote for this"?

Do you think it's right to deny Americans who live in Colorado (or any other blue state/jurisdiction) their natural rights or the equal protection of the laws because they wound up on the losing side of an election?

Shame on you.

it’s “democracy”...where 50.6% of the voters can control the other 50.4% of the voters by voting. pure democracy is 3 men and 2 women on a desert island deciding who, where and how. and you thought this was a constitutional republic? where have YOU been?

You're being naive. Purposefully so.

I have no idea how the parents voted in their State elections, but the people who did vote in Colorado elections knowingly put people in charge who passed this legislation. And every person in Colorado, whether they voted for these people or not, have to deal with the outcomes.

If this particular issue was important to these parents, they could have switched schools, or homeschooled, or moved to a State where there is no such law.

YouTube comments have an Edit function. How nice it would be if FR had the same thing.

Yes, we're supposed to Preview before Posting, but typos slip through way too often.

Having now read the article, I believe the parents are liberals. I’m not going to lose a moments sleep over their plight.

These days of course you can’t say the elections results reflect the voters will.

In Washington State the governor signed a “Child Protection Bill” or something. A child under state care, or in an “authorized” place (like a runaway shelter) can be hidden from their parents if the child is “at risk” due to the parents not wanting the child to be medically transitioned.

In Minnesota, Walz signed a bill that would allow children to be medically transitioned, and if they are from out-of-state and their parents complain, too bad. No information about the child will be provided to the parents. (I’m not sure why the bill didn’t include parents from Minnesota - maybe it does and I just misread it.)

Agreed. Lawsuits against traitors are useless.

Am edit feature on free Republic would be a disaster.
There would be no way to keep the conversation honest.
