That has been the nature of public education since the Rockefellers started the General Education Board.
I don’t think it is worth alienating many voters to possibly please a self-absorbed few-
How many is "few"? Given that the nature of public education, has been emotional conditioning for over a century, I don't think it is. We don't need to convince all of them, but the results of the last election alone suggest we do need some.
Public education is another factor in the difference in who and what people vote for-in this, and other rural areas in Texas, public education enrollment has been declining for more than 20 years-that is entirely different from the nearest big city,-only 50 miles away. I’d be over the moon to see the Carter dept of ed go away if DJT wins-likewise the EPA.
No school bus has been coming down the road I live on for the last 4 years. There are several families with multiple kids living here, but they are all either home schooled or in the nearby Christian school. There is some talk of closing one of the two elementary schools in the county because of a lack of enrollment, and it is worse every year, while the Christian school has hired more teachers and added on several new classrooms in the past 3-4 years. If school choice gets voted in, public school in Texas may just meet a well-deserved end in the cities as well-I hope so.
Point is, we have a whole generation of rural, home/private schooled kids in conservative families here who are voting-and they are voting like conservative mom and dad-for DJT. I’ve heard that this is going on in other states as well, but I don’t know how far it has gone.
Now the results of a stolen election are your influence in determination.
Amazing.
