Much truth here, guess the bottom line is if voting in this day and age really mattered they would find a way to stop it.

If they had dirt on Mitch McConnell, Merrick Garland would be on the Supreme Court.

Virginia Gov did a lot to stop the steal.

Wisconsin did too but the lefty court just overruled it.

Oh and Florida is no longer in play due to election reforms they made.

Texas is the big one that needs to be fixed. A big city can cheat like hell in Texas.

Great essay! Thanks!

1. The courts will rule once it no longer matters.

2. Those political hacks you write about sold us Hastert, Boehner, Ryan, McCarthy, etc. They are both good at that we are are apparently too stupid to see through it or are lamely convinced to vote for them because the alternative is worse.

3. Election integrity is lost. I think when the media coincidentally said they would not be doing exit polling and Romney more-or-less quit weeks before the election, the writing was on the wall. He wasn't prepared to speak up or fight the steal.

I still hope we can turn it around. If Trump wins, that might help. Depends on if the House and Senate help him and if he keeps focused on fixing things. We cannot afford another round of fleeting EOs that get reversed immediately after he leaves office.

We need to push change, small steps, but pointed in the right direction. Never give up.

…I notice is how the more things change, the more they get worse…

I agree. And I am amazed at the number people that never seem to notice that. A lot of folks (but not all) who seem to have no interest in politics until the middle of October say “businesses and Boomers are just greedy” or “Christians push people to do crazy things”(!) and then wonder why things never change for the better (note they don’t say things get worse) after their D-listers win their offices.

WIKI

Dornan later dropped out of the presidential race and ran for reelection to his seat in the House; he was defeated by Democrat Loretta Sanchez by less than 1,000 votes.

Following the narrow defeat, Dornan alleged that Sanchez’s winning margin was provided by illegal voting from non-U.S. citizens. A thirteen-month House of Representatives investigation ensued, during which Sanchez was seated provisionally, pending the inquiry. A task force found 748 votes that had been cast illegally—624 from non-citizens in addition to 124 that had already been thrown out by California officials. This was not enough to overturn Sanchez’s margin of victory and she was allowed to keep her seat. However, in consultation with the INS, the House committee identified 4,762 questionable registration affidavits.

“Contending that INS records are replete with errors, Democrats have maintained that only by doing interviews is it possible to verify that a voter may have registered prior to becoming a citizen. INS officials have supported that view.

“Republicans, however, have insisted that it is possible to get a verified match of a voter with INS records, including names, birth dates and addresses.”

It’s bad, it’s going to be much worse if the left steals the election. The way I see it, if God intervenes and President Trump wins, we have 4 years or so to make it right. If the left wins, God said “alright, have it your way.” If that happens, all hell will break lose.

I think about my kids and grandkids and what they will live in.

Benjamin Franklin’s quote: “A republic if you can keep it.”

Lord Acton - Letter to Archbishop Mandell Creighton (Apr. 5, 1887)
“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

We were a blessed country until satan infiltrated, why is that? Because we were “friends” with Israel. Now look what’s been done.

Genesis 12:3 (”you” is about Israel)

I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”

You’re convinced that in 6 to ten years things will be worse even if Trump wins.

Yet you pray for God’s intervention and urge us to work for the betterment of our children and grandchildren.

Well if you are convinced what is the point?

And if you are not convinced then stop dragging us down.

Victory belongs to US. We only lose if we give up.

I am convinced that even if Trump wins, in 6 to 10 years from now, America will be an even worse place to live than it is now.

This is exactly my concern.

The central issue is not Donald Trump, or the 2024 election, or even election integrity. None of these can have a lasting impact until many more Americans are willing to see and speak the truth.

This is ultimately not a political battle. It is a spiritual battle that, for some time, we have been losing.

I trust Dornan’s camp over wiki and the MSM’s take.

There were a lot more discrepancies than mentioned in the info you offered.

In the race for U.S. Senator, unofficial election results showed a vote margin of only 215 votes between incumbent Norm Coleman and candidate Al Franken—far less than the one-half of one percent that triggers a hand recount under state law.

When the Board completed the task of examining all challenged ballots, candidate Franken had 49 more votes than Senator Coleman.

In mid-November, the Franken campaign asserted that there were absentee ballots that had been improperly rejected by local election officials.

At the conclusion of counting, Senator Coleman received 305 additional votes while candidate Franken received 481 votes.

Minneapolis Ward 3, Precinct 1, Ballot Envelope Missing

During the State Canvassing Board proceedings, the Board decided to use the election night machine count and not exclude the votes from the 132 missing ballots based on an opinion from the state attorney general’s office. In the election contest, Senator Coleman’s attorney disagreed with the Board’s decision arguing that because only 1,896 ballots were actually located for the recount, only 1,896 votes should be included in the final vote totals for the precinct.

Alleged Double Counting of Duplicate Ballots

On election night, absentee ballots that do not feed successfully through an optical scanner machine for counting because of the physical condition of the ballot are duplicated by two election judges of differing major political parties. When the duplication process occurs, election judges are instructed to label original and duplicate ballots using consecutive numbers—such as Original 1, Duplicate 1; Original 2, Duplicate 2; etc. The original ballots are then sealed in an envelope and the duplicate ballots are fed through the optical scanner machine to be counted.

Prior to the hand recount, both candidates and representatives of the state attorney general’s office argued that the original ballot should be used in the hand recount, since voter intent may not be clearly reflected on the duplicate. It was decided that all ballots marked duplicate be set aside and the original ballots be counted.

As the recount ensued, it became apparent that the number of duplicate ballots within certain precincts did not equal the number of original ballots contained in the original ballot envelopes. Conferring with representatives of the two campaigns and the secretary of state’s office, the following procedure was unanimously agreed to:
If the number of duplicate ballots found for a precinct does not equal the number of original ballots in the envelope, the representatives of the two candidates will attempt to agree whether to count the duplicates or the originals. If the two representatives cannot agree, the original ballots shall be counted.

During State Canvassing Board deliberations as well as the election contest, Senator Coleman’s legal team alleged that the implementation of this procedure might have resulted in the double counting of some individuals’ absentee ballots. Candidate Franken’s legal counsel countered stating that there were other explanations for mismatched duplicates and originals and allegations of double counting could not be proven.

Great essay! I can’t disagree with anything that was stated. The so called Republicans are all compromised. We are up to or passed the point of righting this situation.

… Then, as in 2000, the I do not expect the Republicans, nor the Supreme Court to step up to the plate…

You have put across the point of your article extremely well. But I did want to say that in 2000, the Supreme Court did intervene to stop the Democrat’s effort to steal the 2000 election by ending Florida’s re-re-recount of the infamous “butterfly ballots” with their interpretations of “dimpled” and “hanging” chads.

Bush was ahead in Florida and it was initially called for Bush, leading ultimately to Gore conceding the Election to Gore. But almost immediately on election night, the Clintons urged Gore to withdraw the concession and demand a recount of Florida. This lead to a month-long examination of the butterfly ballots and an effort to find some 300 and more votes to put Al Gore over the top.

Daily, a few more votes for Gore would be found and I don’t think any were ever found for Bush. But eventually, an appeal to the Supreme Court was made and pressure was applied to end the recount, certify for Bush, and move on to a peaceful transition in January.

But even here, a case for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory could be made. The shenanigans with the White House keyboards and silverware; the photo of a grinning Hillary whispering something into a stoic GW’s ear; and the announcement of “power sharing” in Congressional committees in the new term.

But again, I think your article is spot on.

“This bill includes many of Jon’s longtime priorities like reinstating same-day voter registration in Montana, allowing college students to use their IDs to vote”

https://www.tester.senate.gov/about/issues/campaign-finance/

Same-day registration allows out-of-state college students an outsized ability to influence a presidential election.

College students tend to left-leaning and out-of-state students can choose to vote either in their home state or their college state, depending on where their vote would matter most.

“Your voter registration is tied to where you live. As a college student, you can usually register to vote in either your hometown or where you attend college, depending on the residency requirements of your state.”

There are plenty things other than that which we can point to. If for no other reason that Mitch stopped us from getting conservatives elected as he supported other candidates instead of leaving it to the states to decide. Even after in thew general, he refused to help conservatives financially.
