ATLANTA—Republicans need to set aside past grievances and unite to win the presidential election in November because America cannot withstand four more years with radical Democrats in the White House, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said Friday.
Kemp spoke at radio talk-show host Erick Erickson’s The Gathering conference on Friday morning in Atlanta, days after former President Donald Trump called fellow Republican Kemp “a bad guy,” “a disloyal guy,” and “a very average governor.” The rift began when Kemp refused Trump’s request to hold a special legislative session to investigate the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
“With a lot of noise out there, as you can imagine, a lot of distractions, in my opinion, is not what we need to be doing right now in the presidential campaign, or on any campaigns that we’re running in the state of Georgia, to keep our majorities in the House and in the Senate,” Kemp said. “Despite all of that noise, my position has not changed.”

The Georgia Republican is committed to getting Trump back in the White House, he said.
“The thing that bothers me most about the Biden-Harris administration is, they’re picking winners and losers in Washington, D.C.,” Kemp said.
It’s crucial to get conservatives back in office to reform executive branch agencies, the Georgia governor said. The governor is hopeful a Republican president can overhaul the administrative state after the Supreme Court’s overturning of the 40-year-old Chevron doctrine, which had the effect of increasing the scope and power of unelected bureaucrats.

Trump’s “attacks’ finally woke up Kemp.
Trump’s strategy was right again.
And as far as attacking people, get over it. He attacked Desantis when he was running against him. You know what he and DeSantis did after Ron dropped out? They shook hands and made peace and moved on. Kemp wouldn’t even acknowledge him when he came to Atlanta. You are either helping Trump or helping Kamala.
Maybe next time Kemp can take the time to come to a rally and stop playing games.

This is big league politics get over it (both sides) and move on. It doesn’t help to not accept an olive branch when it is handed out. Trumps lack of keeping quiet or being gracious when McCain died is still hurting him in Arizona with McCain’s supporters (another real snake but yet someone who has a lot of friends in AZ). This is about beating democrats not winning internal pissing matches.
Secure the elections from cheating or gtfo.

But thinking realpolitik, what if more dirt is coming out on that snake Sec of State Raffensberger, and Kemp wants to distance himself from that, so he breaks and makes up before and then Raffensberger takes this fall by himself?
Kemp is running an extortion racket.
He will promise to stop the cheating unless he gets something....offshore accounts for friends and family...perhaps something else.
We may have to pay the extortion to win—but lets not try to put lipstick on the pig.
not a Kemp fan but there was a lot of lunatic hate towards DeSantis on this site yet when he mended fences with DJT it worked.....no reason for DJT not to move forward with this.
It can be both! Especially if you’re up by five or six points in Georgia. Kemp cost Trump the 2020 election there’s no doubt in my mind.
This Chinese speaking clown did the heavy lifting to help the steel and the big lied Biden won. And Trump may be able to pimp slap him back into shape, but there is no way he should ever be trusted again.
And if he is speaking at an Erick Erickson event, he’s still deep state trash.
