I agree. The lack of ownership of stock, bonds, or real estate is especially troubling. How can you reach the age of 60 and not have any investments? It smacks of him living off the public teat for decades, lack of any financial acumen, an inability to understand how the economy and country work, and certainly should be disqualifying for high office.

“nothing ever happens” — a truism for almost all corruption and malfeasance in government. Very rarely do you have a bridge too far like Bob Menendez (age 70) who was found guilty of 16 counts and faces 222 years in prison.
Sometimes TPTB get a case that is SO egregious that they can’t ignore it and cover for their guy. Then they decide that “this is our sacrificial lamb” and they toss him to the wolves just so they can say “we are policing ourselves.”
