I think it is wrong and misguided. He is a veteran, 24-years, and retired honorable. We discredit ourselves and veterans to attack him over his service. Especially, as noted in earlier discussions today, it is often non-veterans doing the criticism. Seriously, there are other issues to discuss than his service. Otherwise we open the door to Trump avoiding service and Vance serving in public affairs. Do we really want to go there?
This!
What do you mean “we”? This information is out there. The only thing “we” are doing is talking about it. Not all active duty and veterans are honorable. Some really suck. Looks like this guy is one.
“He is a veteran, 24-years, and retired honorable.”
He served 24 years in the Guard, never deployed to hostile action and QUIT when he had a chance to do so! That makes him SCUM in my book.
Seems like he has cohorts calling him out.
Walz may have an Honorable Discharge, but he behaved quite dishonorably.
Especially for someone at the top level of the Non-Commissioned Officer world.
Being reduced in rank is not exactly something to brag about.
Continuing to use or refer to oneself at the higher rank from which one was demoted is Stolen Valor. “Dishonorable”, by definition.
