I have to admit, I am getting angry about people who say “Oh, he served for 24 years, so he shouldn’t be pilloried for this or that”, and I see it a lot on this forum lately.

There are people who think this POS should be given a break because he served in the military. I can think of a lot of things people could possibly be given a break for. Someone gets arrested for DUI (even as Walz was) should be given consideration...doesn’t excuse it, but it should be considered. They own an illegal firearm. They get into a fight with someone. They don’t pay their taxes or debts. And so on.

But when someone betrays their country, and the principles of their country that they took an oath to defend, that is very different.

For example, Benedict Arnold was a great American hero before he betrayed his country. All of his service, root and branch was wholly and justifiably discredited by his actions.

In this case, Walz is a committed socialist (meaning Communist) and I consider him and those like him to be domestic enemies of this country

And it isn’t that his actions and opinions are contrary to mine (though they fully are) it is because his values he is proud of and espouses publicly in his job as a “public servant” (spit) are directly opposed to the principles of the US Constitution, and the principles this country was founded upon. The fact that he holds public office does not insulate him from that, as a matter of fact, it makes it far worse.

He has abdicated any favorable consideration for his military service by supporting Communism.

Many people who have served don’t view that oath as having expired just because they stopped serving. If you took that oath, you are still bound by it, even if by your own conscience. And I fully respect that.

The things that Walz and his ilk support are ANTI-AMERICAN and ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL. He is fully on board for ALL of it. Every bit.

In my mind, Walz’s military service has been repudiated, root and branch as Arnold’s were, and it is due to his support of Constitutional things that violate his oath to protect and defend.
