I think she thought that Shapiro would win her PA but lose her MI, and losing MI would still likely lose the election, so she decided to just leave both states in the condition they currently are in instead of stirring things up. And surely she just jibes better with the radical Walz than the left-of-center Shapiro.
I personally feel much better about our chances of winning PA without Shapiro on the ticket, even with all the “changes” the Dems have made to the electoral system there. With Shapiro I think the state would have been razor tight, but now Trump has a chance of winning it by a big enough margin that the result isn’t in question. But who knows. Three months is an eternity in a campaign. And we don’t know what the Dems still have up their sleeves.
