This was the first thing I thought of when I heard who it was, not much has changed in three decades.
Actually, EVERYTHING has changed since 1984.
This country is NOTHING like it was 40 years ago.
For starters...before biden/harris, there were at least 22+ million foreign nationals in our country illegally. In the last 3+ years, they've let in another 15+ million. Including, actual known terrorist or those on the terrorist watch list.
In 1984, there might have been less than 1% of those illegal aliens who voted in that election. That will be essentially inversed this time. Even if most of them don't themselves "vote"...a vote will be cast on their behalf (in their name). The dems got away with mountains of vote fraud last time, there is no reason to think they will do anything less this time.
Then there's the whole issue of patriotism in general. There are tens of millions of people here now who hate this country and are not afraid or ashamed to show it. Sure, there were people here who hated America in 1984, but nothing like the numbers now. Since Barack Hussein Obama made it ok to publicly hate this country, and want to "fundamentally change" it, it's grown like a cancer on our society. There are many tens of millions here now who would like to continue to fundamentally change this country.
These are the same people who think tampons in a 3rd grade boy's bathroom is not only a good idea, but should be mandated system wide.
These are the same people who think a man should be allowed to play in women's sports and to be able to use women's bathrooms as well.
These are the same people who think that children should be allowed to have their genitalia surgically removed, without their parents even knowing it, let alone consenting to it...because the child might be confused while growing up.
That's just a fraction of a fraction of the vote fraud and moral, cultural and societal rot that is now going on...at scale. This was not happening in 1984.
Botom line IMV, and I've said this before, people on "our" side, like most of those who frequent a site like FR must get out and vote (unlike 2022) and not assume that just because a low iq diversity hire marxist and a deranged communist...as "we" see them...are the (D)'s "nominee's" that that alone means a red tsunami landslide. Trump (& down ticket) has to win by such a massive tsunami in order to give us chance at overcoming the vote fraud and hate America first crowd.
This country has changed significantly, demonstrably, in the last 40 years. And not for the better IMO.
