So some other soldiers have a gripe with him. He served honorably and ultimately resigned for whatever reasons he chose, which was his right. Appears to be plenty of other political topics to focus on instead of disparaging a fellow veteran. I don’t know if you are a veteran, like me, but I’d say this is a wrong line of complaint. If you are not a veteran, I’d strongly suggest it is a wrong line of complaint.
I am sure you meant retired not resigned. Supposedly he retired after 24 years in the National Guard. Most Vets from the active duty full time military ranks would see it as a lifer weekend warrior veteran position so might explain some reason other military might have some disdain.
Have a gripe? He lies about his rank and he bails on his fellow warriors when deployed to the Middle East?
There is no way your veteran to make such an asinine comment.
For the record, if I am or not a veteran that is irrelevant.
Real veteran’s don’t ever say what you just said.
I don’t know man, seems pretty cut and dry to me. He signed a 6 year re-enlistment and accepted the conditional promotion to CSM which carried a 2-year additional requirement. Then when Iraq deployment was looming he quit, not even fulfilling the 6 year re-enlistment.
He seems like a country club guardsman to me, no disrespect to other guardsmen.
