This whole thing has me confused.
Yes, I got it that polls can be manipulated. Both sides can do it.
But Kamala Harris had (IIRC) some of the worst approval ratings of any Vice President. Those polled seemed to have little trust in her abilities or skills.
And now (depending on the poll), she either leading against Trump or tied.
How is this happening?
I’m having a hard time grasping that someone who’s that unpopular is suddenly a contender.
Yes, I get it that the media is a kingmaker. They have a consummate ability to make anyone look bad or good - all depending on their reporting and editing of video clips.
But there’s gotta be a way around that.
This is all very frustrating and annoying.
Does anyone out there wonder if we, as a nation, are entering the death spiral? A death spiral where abortion and identity politics outweighs public safety and lower prices on gas and groceries?
Where is the logic in having access to an abortion when the same person seeking that abortion has a hard time filling their gas tank or could get robbed or killed on their way to Planned Parenthood?
Well, it’s all perception, and the MSM currently has to hang on to and feebly double down on its past mistakes while putting techno-sheen on its current mistakes, which is that the Harris/Walz ticket has ANY chance at winning the White House without unprecedented voting irregularities. Editorially many newspapers, with many more to come, are gently distancing themselves from their multitudinous mistakes, like trusting that what they were told about Biden’s feasibility, etc, and in general their own culpability to satisfy the minimum daily requirements of being responsible and objective journalists-—now they are even questioning Harris’s record, which they’ve never bothered to look into before, apparently too busy enjoying the sugar high everyone’s talking about. The only way around the fact of Media as Kingmaker, is to VOTE,and keep an eye on the process: the results will roll in bigger and better than predicted ( for our side) and that alone will put all that polling propaganda to rest, once and for all.
