At least eight people have suffered stab injuries at a children's dance and yoga workshop in Southport
A 17-year-old male from the nearby village of Banks has been arrested
Police say the incident is not being treated as terror-related, and they are not looking for anyone else
The injured were taken to three hospitals, including the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool
The children's hospital declared a major incident, saying parents should only bring patients if it is urgent

Lets just wait the speculation is pointless...
They have 24 hours when detaining someone to decide maybe can sometimes get an extension to 48 hours
They will charge him soon and he will be ID’d although conveniently he is under age the severity of the crimes means public interest for media to name him.
They have done it before with suspects much younger. It’s rare but not unprecedented
I’m saddened to say they’re elementary age I believe.
It’s unconscionable for someone to do this.
They’re getting the best care as one of the top children’s hospitals in the whole of the U.K. is literally in that district or very close by.
Thank heavens..
I just turned on the news
“We have video of a possible suspect” they say ,.
Hang on.

They have doorbell footage from a distance.,
He’s wearing a Hoodie / mask it’s difficult to tell anything
A name is all over social media.
What’s interesting is that there is still no new public ID on the perp.
And the authorities have not commented on the name being reported on social media.
If the info was BS, you’d think authorities would say so.
The assailant is British says the reporter outside the police station.
A troubled individual he says who has a history of problems.
Nothing more
Well....I’m aware of the way these things can go, speculation and hearsay...
That said, many sources are saying Ali Al-Shakati, an immigrant that came a year ago, on MI6 watch list, is the perp. He’s ‘supposedly’ 17...which they all say.
Guess we’ll see. If true, UK is so ready to explode.
Never heard of them. I very much doubt they are trustworthy. How does some obscure American site come up with a name shortly after the stabbing? Plus the suspect apparently didn´t arrive by boat last year like they claimed.
The problem is since the guy is a minor British media can´t publish anything to identify him. So rumor mongering is rife.
According to The Telegraph he was born in Cardiff; his parents are Rwandan. He later moved to Banks. I guess they know more and tried to say something about him without running afoul of the law.
If he is indeed Rwandan he is most likely Christian like the vast majority of Rwandans. Might still be Muslim of course, but we`ll just have to wait and see.
It’s never the children of the elites that get butchered, stabbed, raped and murdered. Until that happens a couple of hundred times things are never going to change.
So everyone should just shut up, take what our masters give us and be grateful to live in a world where we own nothing, scramble from dawn to dusk on the consumer hamster wheel, give our children to the state at age 4-5 for 9-10 hours, occasionally see them at dinner or one of their state activities(sports) , allow their world view to be formed by LGBTQ+ software programmers on social media ,pay our taxes and die.
I love the Biden administration and all progressive plans. We need more help from our government overseers.

I think it is fair to say that the present policy of open immigration, policing and justice that by many is perceived as a two-tired justice system does not work, and is creating what used to be called a “revolutionary” situation.
I understand that the police are working under constraints (the suspected killer is underaged) but apparently the prohibition of releasing the name of an under-18 youth involved in criminal proceedings is not absolute.
One would hope that the British authorities come to the understanding it is better to be open with the public than trying to “manage” this and similar situations. The result of the latter can easily end up in severe violence.
