My electric bill in SW PA has tripled in the last 10 years and I can guarantee that my power usage hasn't.

Do you shop for your electric supplier via the PA Power Switch program? I save hundreds of dollars by doing so. If you're unfamiliar with PA Power Switch, reply or mail me and I'll share the PA Power Switch the filters/options I use for best price.

Yeah, I did all that. It's the best price, and lower than the power company. We're an all-electric home. Wifey refuses to let gas on the property. We can afford it, but just because we CAN afford something doesn't mean we enjoy it. In another episode, wife and her mom both signed up for some shyster supplier about 10 years ago. Rates were awesome until January, when we literally got a 1K bill (and this was 10 years ago). Cancelled the contract immediately and contacted the AG. I think they got shut down.

Both the wife and myself agree our prized possession is our continuous hot water heater fired by natural gas water heater that kicks out 6 gallons / min at 140F. We pay about 1/4th the cost of electricity and we can fix the price at will for a year.

Yeah, I did all that.

To ensure a price that doesn't change I always select these options/filters on the PA Power Switch app when searching for a supplier:

Term Length- 12 mos
Rate Option - Fixed
Terms & Conditions - No fees.

I then sort results by lowest price.

I shop once per year and do the same for my gas supplier.
