The only building with electricity was the Sacred Coeur Church. It remained all lit up towering over a city of darkness.

Sacred Coeur Church is a beautiful church. I visited there in Sep ‘06 on a R&R out of Iraq. It was a cool, humid, overcast day. I spent around 6 hours inside and out. I laid down on the cool grass, looked up at the sky and just relaxed, for hours. A perfect remedy a year in Iraq.
