I am reminded of 1902 how the Governor of Martinique had a vile anti-Christian parade with crucified pigs on crosses. Then Mount Pelee blew it’s top and wiped out the city.
I lived through the Auckland blackout of 1998 that lasted 5 weeks. It coincided with a Gay Pride Parade and Helen Clark pushing for legal sex trade. Living on the 8th floor with a toddler in the CBD wasn’t fun, and the power company told us, “go live will rellies in the country.” We had no relatives in the country, as my husband informed them. LOL. We were finally able to move into a hotel with power, thankfully. I considered it truly an act of God.
