Large groups of people from many nations... large amounts of media presences... world stage.... this is exactly the kind of event every ne’er-do-well radical group uses to get attention.
On that point, I think I’d advocate for the world to create an ‘Olympic City’ (I guess 2 of them — one for the Winter games) ... some place that can be used forever. Saves money and allows for real security. But it’ll never happen.
