Yes, it certainly is for any so-called crew member in the Air Force. We had the Air Force’s 20th Special Operations Squadron fly their faster choppers for us in 68-69. I flew with the senior FAC, an Air Force Major, when we inserted recon teams, we took reports from them, plus we got them extracted. Those 20th SOS pilots and crew were extremely well trained and brave. CPT. Jim Flemming received the CMH for saving one of our recon teams west of Duc Lap in Nov. 68. The team leader he saved was a 1LT then and a friend of mine. When I see those Gens on Biden’s staff, I wonder how they are still wearing uniforms when they are so obese?

Assign them to the Marines until they get in shape. No more “Chair Force”.
I have a friend who was in the Air Force sixty years ago. His uniform still fits.

A friend of mine who is about 80 was an Air Force helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He doesn’t talk of it much. He said he did a lot of Search and Rescue. Earned a Distinguished Flying Cross for a mission.
