Answer: airports.
Whole lot of ambient temperature coming out of those jet engines.
And it's been increasing for quite a long time.

Where are most weather recording stations? Answer: airports. If they are using 1 meter temps instead of satellite temps then their data is nonsense.

The pavement of the runways affects temperature readings a lot more than the jet engines, as does the general build-up of infrastructure nearby.

I believe I read last year that the temperature gauges they use were found to have been moved closer to urban areas. Needed to get those temps up in order to promote the fraud.
