Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly is calling for more gun restrictions with a proposed bill that seeks to restrict semi-automatic weapons and gun modifications.
The Gas-Operated Semi-Automatic Firearms Exclusion (GOSAFE) Act would establish a list of prohibited firearms and limit the capacity of detachable magazines to 10 rounds. It would also prohibit "ghost guns," which are bought in separate pieces online and then assembled at home.

Some years back he tried to guy a gun illegally at a gun show for political purposes. The vendor didn’t fall for it.

WRONG! If you buy ALL the parts to simply assemble a firearm at home at least ONE of them will be serialized and require a background check.
The only way around this is to completely manufacture the serialized parts yourself or finish it from a 80% state.
80% sounds like a lot until you realize that the remaining 20% is 95% of what you need for a functioning firearm.

HOWEVER: I am from the same mindset that J D Vance’s grandmother had. When she passed away & the family was cleaning out the house-—they found 18 LOADED HANDGUNS all over the place. Grandma didn’t have to go far to PROTECT HERSELF.
LOL, I have four loaded guns in the house - two long, two handguns. I know how to use and take care of them. I am a very good markswoman (husband always said he’d hand me the guns).
My grandfather was from Appalachia and always had a loaded gun nearby, including in his truck.
Anyone who enters my home without my permission and gets passed my dogs will get an axe to the brain and then shot.
So he wants to exclude ownership of gas operated semi-automatic firearms, what about recoil operated firearms or delayed blowback? I know, I know, they're included they just don't make a cool acronym.
