A dual zone retails for $2k. No way installation is $5500.

There is no way you will get ONE mini split installed around here(southern NH) for less than $400-4500. I know several people who have had them done. If you want one that serves two inside units they are at least $6000.

That is why I was considering installing one myself. There are two companies that sell the kits. I have watched multiple YouTube videos. The lines come pre-charged with coolant. I would have to install a new circuit to power it with a GFI on the outside and a dedicated circuit on the inside. The circuit in my family room already has my Pellet Insert, TV, lights, router and multiple other items plugged into it. The kits cost about $2500.
