I agree, but here’s the problem. I grew up in Florida. Many builders tried to “reclaim” marshlands and built subdivisions on top of this. What do you think happened often after the honeymoon period of sometimes decades of time? Be it sinkholes, or a hurricane flooding the crap out of the place, ground water issues, problems more often than not arose. Still we must try to drain the swamp and dig out those mud snappers and do away with the lot much as can be done.
Move it to the center of the country. I know they mapped out a place for DC. It was never supposed to be like what we have today.
