We strongly disagree. Scott Adams is calling them as he sees them, and he is accurate.
Ok, but let’s talk about what pattern recognition truly means.
It doesn’t mean looking at statistics and finding the biggest number. That’s grade school math.
An example of pattern recognition is when you elevate your thinking above the fray of the emotional cries “it’s them again Boo Boo.”
When you elevate your mind to a higher perspective, you then see things like narratives and how one narrative affects others and how it affects behavior.
Pattern recognition informs us how to interpret low level statements, from operatives like Scott Adams, to the effect of “stay away from black people.”
Adams’ statement is certain to sway the thinking of a large number of people, which is certain to affect the behavior of a large number of them.
It is extremely unlikely Scott Adams doesn’t know this.
