Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn slammed Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle for prioritizing a cocktail party over an investigation into the attempted assassination of former President Trump.
Cheatle ducked a fuming group of senators who wanted to discuss security lapses that nearly cost Trump his life, but Blackburn and several other lawmakers confronted the embattled security boss Wednesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
"For her to say her priority was to make certain that people had a nice evening, that people had a nice party, that they were able to enjoy that luxury suite, and she did not have time for us. Does she not see the American people as a partner and the work of the Secret Service?"

Well, I hope it was a good party, because soon... The party’s over.
I seem to recall that during, IIR, the Reagan presidency, the media kept a 24-hour watch on whatever residence the president was at. They don’t seem interested in doing that for Biden. Given technology today, all it would take is a remote TV transmitter located on a power pole with a good view.
I would have bet she was going to resign by last Thursday. I still can’t believe that woman is still on the job.
This perfectly illustrates just how arrogant these people in government are. Ms. Cheetle should have resigned within 48 hours of the event. Everyone in the country knew within 2 days this was either one of the biggest screw ups of all time, or was totally an intentional setup to once and for all eliminate Trump.
At this point, I personally believe it was a setup to kill Trump.
She has no idea what she is dealing with here.
Of course she does. SS director has to answer some questions no matter what other roads need to be traveled.

Blackburn is right to call out insensitivity and incompetence.
“Blackburn is right to call out insensitivity and incompetence.”
That is like complaining that someone’s socks are not matching colors when the plane is crashing.
Cheater is LOVING this. She almost went down as a hero of the revolution taking out Trump. She knows she is untouchable and will never be held to account. She knows she can (and likely Wii ll) allow another attempt. She went to the GOP convention to gloat about what she did. And she went to a cocktail party to receive her accolades and praise. She is set for life and her brief tenure as DEI leader of the SS will make her incredibly wealthy and powerful and she will be hailed in democrat circles as the one who almost took out Trump and “saved democracy.”
I would love to hear her questioned by MTG.

Ok so what you’re saying is, that blackburn should’ve called her out for facilitating, aiding and abetting attempted murder of a presidential candidate?
What I am saying is that the head of the Secret Service is an idiot figurehead.
We need the facts on the ground, not lies from a bunch of DC bureaucrats.
I deeply don’t care what that clown Cheetos lady does or says.
I do care what really happened in Butler PA—and only people who were actually there have the answers.
Freepers were there among the crowd.
I don’t know who’s in over their heads & who isn’t...but I praise Ms. Blackburn for doing what she did. The lady shows signs of being a real pit bull when it comes to going after crap like that!

Agreed. Publicly standing up to and opposing the Deep State Marxists requires courage. A trait that is apparently MIA among most GOPers these days.
