It is a beautiful state. Underrated by most. The wife and I often discuss moving there, Lexington area in particular (not the city per se, but the counties nearby). LEX airport can connect to NYC or DEN or SLC or ATL. It’s a relatively easy drive to Nashville or Cincinnati if one was so inclined.
I wish they’d get rid of the income tax, though. Sure it’s lower than most states, but the state would probably suddenly get a lot more attention if they dropped it altogether.
We have relatives in KY and visit often—agreed it is a beautiful state.
They live in the blue collar part of the state (Danville area) and have a one hundred acre farm.
Ironically they are crazy lefties—a bit too outspoken for their own good—and the locals hate them.
Meanwhile we are conservatives in CT.
Go figure.
