Why don’t they do a vote to stop sticking their nose into things that don’t affect day-to-day education, which is supposedly their mission.

Performance of teachers and students? No. But there's a lot about the performance of health and retirement plans. And of course human rights and international relations. Nothing on UNWRA. Some nasty comments on Hamas though, which imo conflicts with their position on Israel, the victim they want to surrender. It's a far left organization after all.

Not most of our kids. AFT is big in big cites tolerant of radical politics. NEA is the big teachers’ union and they are not universal either.
