One day after she realized she could not leave my dad because she had nowhere to go and no way to get there...
so she stabbed my father with a kitchen knife.
Fortunately there was a caregiver on site at that moment—and they got the knife away from her.
When the cops arrived my mother told the cops she had done nothing and “if you don’t believe me you can kill me”.
Luckily, my dad died 6 years ago. It’s bad that we talk about her, but it’s a relief valve. She hasn’t stabbed anyone, yet. She calls people fat whales. One of these days, someone is going to slap her. She’s 92, probably live 10-15 more years. There’s long life in her family.
Dear God I am so sorry you had to go though all that. It is so sad what happens to some when they get older.
