After time away from the spotlight, the right-wing host is increasingly welcomed by Trump’s inner circle. He also made a surprise visit to Fox’s convention studio.
All of a sudden, Tucker Carlson has roared back to the forefront of Republican politics. Once the top-rated anchor on Fox News — only to be abruptly ousted 15 months ago, his national platform yanked out from under his feet — Mr. Carlson has made an improbable re-emergence into America’s living rooms at this week’s Republican National Convention. He was the first person to greet Donald J. Trump after the former president’s dramatic entrance in the convention hall on Monday, and cameras later caught them joking together in Mr. Trump’s friends and family box, just two seats apart.
...
But behind the scenes over the past year, Mr. Carlson has become more deeply allied with Mr. Trump than at any point in his long relationship with the former president, a man for whom the broadcaster once expressed deep ambivalence.
Mr. Carlson lobbied Mr. Trump to select Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio, who had been a frequent guest on his Fox show, as his running mate, and he helped broker a meeting in Milwaukee between Mr. Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate.

Seeing him and others involved in President Trump's campaign and hopefully involved in his next administration is encouraging because it means that President Trump will have insiders this time, people that are allies, and not just their to stab him in the back at the first opportunity.
The article from Michael M. Grynbaum and Jim Rutenberg is a great summary. Even more, if you missed it last night, or to watch it again, here is Tucker at the convention. It was 100% Tucker Carson, epic.
Tucker was awesome, a real big picture guy.
Fox went rump ranger left and got rid of Carlson. They no longer are conservative and unbiased.
I still miss Bill O’Reilly and Tucker :(
Until now at least, Tucker Carson has never been a big fan of Trump.
I was upset that Fox chose to air it’s lineups like Hannity and guests while speeches were happening behind them. If you are there to cover the convention then cover the convention! This was one week that Hannity could just sit back and let folks of the country see and hear some really great people. Very disappointed.
I always enjoy mother tucker’s reports.
hope he is offered a position in the administration
I watched online at RSBN. No interference from talking heads, What a GREAT convention!!
Big Tucker fan here. I don’t always agree with him, but then, I don’t always agree with myself.
LOL.
L
He would be wasted as press secretary. He should be brought in as chief presidential advisor, let him help keep President Trump in touch with America, avoid the pitfalls of some of the snakes in DC.
That changed a while back, quite a while.
God Bless Tuxker Carlson!
A truly great american journalist. It’s sad that Lou Dobbs has passed. He will be missed.
Because of the Carlson axing, I my Foxnews boycot continues vigilantly to this day. The convention coverage that I did watch was on Newsmax
Tucker was on a threeway with Don Jr. and Bongino, that was an interesting podcast Wednesday
Do you have a link to share? I have never gotten into podcasts much, but have started selectively listening to them.
I flipped between Newsmax and CSpan; when I didn't want talking heads I watched the latter, but Newsmax snagged some good interviews during the convention.
I heard it on Rumble via Alexa, just ask Alexa or Hey Google for Dan Bongino podcast.
True, that. I jumped around different media coverage and was disappointed by the interference during speeches. Fox, CBS, NBC, etc. all guilty. I went to alternative sites to watch the convention speeches without interference.
