Biden to earn more in retirement than as president
Washington Examiner ^ | July 18, 2024 | Paul Bedard

When Joe Biden finally leaves the White House, he is set to get a pay raise.

Because of his nearly 50 years in federal office, first as a senator, then vice president, and now .. his pension will be at least $13,000 higher than his current salary of $400,000, according to a National Taxpayers Union Foundation report.

“Joe Biden represents a unique situation. With his long tenure in Congress and subsequent years as vice president and president, Joe Biden stands to benefit significantly from both systems, potentially receiving a combined payout starting at around $413,000,” said NTUF’s Demian Brady, vice president of research.

He encouraged Capitol Hill to “reexamine” the loopholes that allow for double-dipping into generous taxpayer-funded pension programs.

Here’s how Biden would benefit, if he quit this year as Democrats want, or served a second term by beating former President Donald Trump in the fall.

Once Biden leaves office, he will get a $166,000 congressional pension and an executive branch pension of $246,400, Brady said. Naturally, taxpayers are forced to cough up annual cost-of-living increases.

Biden is currently worth about $9 million.

Brady said the pension program was not created for rich politicians, but they are the ones who are cashing in on it.

“The presidential pension system was originally designed for an allegedly down-on-his-luck Harry Truman. In this day and age, taxpayers are providing substantial subsidies to ex-president millionaires, and one billionaire,” Brady said.

Not understanding why Biden (or any other in a similar situation) should get what is basically 2 pensions. Working in the private sector as I did my whole life, I never got any kind of pension. I’m getting by, except clowns like Biden...while set to draw a fortune every year...keep trying to reduce what I get with S.S.

And that billionaire was the only one donating his salary to charity. Forgot to mention that, didn’t ‘ya? Of course it was an inadvertent editing error that excised that from the story.

But Hunter, brother James, and the rest of the extended Biden family face a pay cut from millions in foreign graft to zero as The Big Guy loses all clout in the Government.

Yes, but he won’t be able to sell the country out for cash money anymore. Nobody made more money from the tax payers than Corrupt Joe Biden. He made millions selling the American people out to China, Russia or the highest bidder.

Those pensions will be a small portion of his income, he will be getting millions elsewhere.

You see this in cities where the government union teachers, cops, work men, plumbers, life guards, firemen, etc., vote as a block to elect democrats and in return get ever growing wages, benefits, retirement, and early disability retirements, making more in retirement than when they worked.

“Los Angeles County’s highest-paid lifeguards. In the site’s report, the county’s lifeguard captain made $510,283 in 2021, the highest paid in the area, with nearly $250,000 coming from overtime pay.

The second highest-paid, the county’s lifeguard chief, made $463,517 in 2021, Open the Books reports. Of the $463,517 in total earnings, the lifeguard chief made $0 in overtime but made more than $142,000 in benefits and more than $78,000 in other pay, the report reads.

The lifeguard chief made $391,971 in 2019 back when he was the county’s acting chief lifeguard, which made him the highest-paid lifeguard in LA County at the time. The lifeguard captain earned $368,668 in 2019, which was the second highest-paid salary in the county at the time.

The report also reveals more than 90 lifeguards in LA County earned at least $200,000 and 20 lifeguards made between $300,000 and $510,283. The report also adds that 37 lifeguards made between $50,000 and $247,000 in just overtime “
